We are so happy to report that Penny is finally going home! She has been here with us a little more then one year. While we had 7 applications for her - THIS turned out to be the one!

She will have a Mom & Dad, a 2 legged sister & brother & two cousins who visit often - 2 lady bull dogs -- her horrible past behind -- she is ready to begin her life as a beloved pet for the rest of her life! I'm very happy for her!

Penny has been evaluated for the MYM Program & we have determined she is aConstant Companion

Looking for an emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low maintenance relationship? I am all you need. Let me sit at your feet, walk by your side, and I’ll be your devoted companion forever. (Socially motivated)

Penny is a 3 1/2 year old, 85 lb Yellow Lab/Hound. She is our big funny love girl! Every time you look at her she has towels, socks, underwear (clean or not) or anything she can find in her mouth. She carries her treasures around all day. She has an extremely gentle soul & spirit.  She is very dog friendly & loves all people.

There are a few pictures of her below that shows what she looked like when she was found abandoned with her puppies in KY, after spending 3 weeks at the end of chain with no food.   She literally gnawed her front top & bottom teeth down to the gums trying to get off the chain.  Six of her seven puppies died outside in the dirt & she only had one surviving baby, Lenny when she was finally found.  So sadly, Lenny died of Parvo shortly after being rescued.

Penny had some major medical problems when she arrived. She had Heartworms so severly that we had to treat her twice. Then we found a lump in her breast & we had a biospy performed & removed. Thankfully there was no cancer! Her Vet bills came to over $1,900 and all we ask is that we receive our standard adoption fee of $300 made out to our Vet to bring down our Vet bill.

Penny is now healthy and so beautiful….. a true rescue miracle.

She is ready to find her own family who will allow her to adore you & you would not be able to not adore her sweet & gentle ways.
