We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces.  It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within.  We Are Rescue.

OUR MISSION

LnF Dog Rescue is an all volunteer, all-breed dog rescue organization. We have no paid employees.

Through our love and commitment to dogs, we pledge:

Doggy Friends Kiss
(1) To identify temperamentally sound dogs and rescue them from overcrowded public animal shelters;

(2) To provide them with excellent medical attention including all necessary vaccines, testing for Heartworm, Lyme & Ehrlichia, de-worming, keeping them on Heartworm medication & Microchipping;

 (3) To spay/neuter every dog before adoption;

(4) To supply them with socialization as a family members in our foster homes;

(5) To find each of them a family where they will be loved and cherished for the rest of their lives.

(6) To provide Spay/Neuter program for low income, fixed income people through our "de-SEX in the City" program. 100% financed with fundraising events by LnF Dog Rescue.

(7) To educate animal owners about pet overpopulation, issues in animal health and training, in particular on tick-borne illnesses such as Lyme disease in dogs.

All puppies and dogs have been hand-picked and have warm and loving dispositions.  Many of the animals rescued have been saved from euthanization in shelters and abusive situations.

LnF Dog Rescue is not a shelter.  We have no paid employees. LnF Dog Rescue is a foster based rescue in New Castle, DE.  Our volunteer's foster puppies and dogs in our homes until we can find each dog his/her own permanent loving homes.

Part of our Mission is learn as much about each of our puppies and dogs as soon as they arrive.  We believe understanding each dogs needs, personality and disposition is key to finding the perfect lifelong  home.  Our knowledge of each dog allows us to discuss the dog's individual needs with potential adopter, such as prefers to be around other dogs, loves children, or requires special attention.

Since our dogs are always fostered in homes, that allows us to understand our dogs. We are able to pass this information on to potential adopters so that the adopter can find the dog that best suits his or her lifestyle.  We try to provide as much information as possible on each dog's webpage profile, as well as include regular updates on each dog's progress and adoption status.

After learning about our dogs through the profiles, we hope you'll read our adoption requirements & if you can meet or exceed them you'll be able to appy online at this website. To visit our dogs in person you must first have an approved adoption application.

Meeting the dogs in person give the potential adopter an opportunity to have one-on-one interaction with our dogs as well as speak with the adoption coordinator or foster parent about a particular dog.  You may just find that although you had been interested in one dog's profile online, another may just win over your heart in person!
