About Princess Leia/ADOPTED!! | |

ADOPTED! So happy to report that Princess Leia has been adopted & went home to live in PA where she has a very own Mom & Dad & a new sister Tink who was also just adopted! Already the girls are besties & just adore each other. Leia was my #500th personal rescue & my #487th adoption since 2-24-2004.

Princess Leia is a young, small (only 16 lbs.) extremely sweet, gentle, calm, affectionate little girl. She has proved to be bubbling over with personality & loves everyone & loves to play with all her foster siblings. She's a combo of black with chocolate hues and oh so pretty.
Her life in KY was a horror. Her former owner bred her over & over for money because since she’s small, she would have small puppies & everyone wants small dogs! As if that wasn’t bad enough they also left her outside at the end of a chain! We’re not sure what made them decide she wasn’t worth keeping anymore but they put her on Craig’s List – FREE to a good home which is one of the worst things that can happen to an animal. Luckily for her, a very nice lady saw the ad & offered to take her & they dropped her off duct taped in a box! The lady who saved her life made sure she got into the reputable rescue in KY that I work with. I was looking for my 500th personal rescue & that is what Leia became & we're so glad she found her way to LnF Dog Rescue! Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that do not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ De-Wormed.
Our adoption fee is $345 & that includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
