ADOPTED! I'm so very happy to announce that my Morning Star (now Star) has been adopted. She now has (2) 4-legged siblings, a big brother & sister, a Mom, Dad & a young 2-legged sister who I'm told she likes to sneak in bed with if given half a chance!

Star had a pretty horrible life but now that is all behind her! She is my #509th adoption since 2/24/2004

MYM Designation: Wallflower

**Be sure to watch the video below showing how my foster dog live**

This beautiful young girl came to us from a shelter in KY where she had been owner surrendered. Seems they were also not very kind to her as she came to us afraid of people ---BUT --- given her fantastic disposition, she was ready to give her heart again. Star came in afraid of men & sometimes she still is when meeting new men so she would only be able to be adopted by a family that experienced dog parents with dealing with abused dogs.

One of the amazing things about dogs -- their utter capacity to love humans. She also loves ALL her foster dog siblings & plays with all of them with all of them with abandon.

As you can see she is a stunning GSD but she is considered a mini-GSD since she is only 45 lbs. full grown which is about 1/3 of a normal sized GSD. If you’ve always loved the breed but are thinking maybe it would be nice to have one a big smaller she might be the girl for you.
Morning Star did arrive with a nasty case of a tick-borne disease called Ehrlichiosis but we treated it aggressively & had her blood work re-tested by my Vet & you can see the copy of the paperwork below where she has been given a 100% clean bill of health.

All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.

Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.

Adoption Requirements:  *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed.  Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any application that DOES NOT  have an installed fence.  We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
