UPDATE: I took my beautiful pup Eldon who has been renamed Bodha (which means awakening or enlightment) to his new Mom and Aunt in Malvern PA. What a peaceful setting for this young boy.

He was nervous due to the new experience of such a long ride but his new Mom took the time to allow him to greet him slowly and within a short time he was cuddled in her lap.

Eldon and Coolio have been together since they were 6 weeks old and now they are over 6 months old. That will require love and patience and understanding for him. His little world has been changed for the best but when your little, and a rescue dog, you can not always tell that at first.

I've placed enough pups/dogs --- 310 actually -- to know that the wonderful amazing thing about dogs is their profound love of us humans --- even if we don't deserve it -- and they have an endless supply to give to anyone who will show them any kindness.

I felt wonderful knowing my little boy was starting his new life, I have done my job.

UPDATE: 03-14-07 - Coolio and his brother Elden were neutered today.
They are already up to date with all their shots, microchipped and ready to find their special families.

Elden is a sweet and gentle boy but he is the largest of his brothers. He just loves everyone. Of his 3 brothers he looks most like a collie.

These are my sweet, kissy, wiggle-butt puppies who have all been given a clean bill of health. They had a nasty case of ringworm but they are all cleared up now. Their hair has grown back and they are just too adorable for words. They are happy go-lucky pups and are just so happy for a pat on the head or a pat on the rump. They just SPARKLE with their joy of living! They have to be seen in person to see how cute they really are. ALL the boys are being neutered this month.

Two of the boys Drake & Mason, the black pups, have long, curly coats like a Water Spaniel which is what their Mom Ivy is (her picture is below) Coolio has a long and wavy. Elden (Copper & white) look just like a collie and does not have the deep wave in his coat like his brothers. (Baby picture below) Each of them has a sweet little wiggle butt and are ready to start their lives off with their own familes. They have their Mom's loving dispostion.

These boys arrived at only 6 weeks old from WV along with their Mom Ivy. They all had Ringworm and numerous llnesses. They had been born in a barn and Mom and babies were starving to death. They were eating birdseed to survive.

We have treated everyone and they are all now perfectly happy and healthy pups. Their hair has grown back which proves they are in recovery. They do have long fuzzy coats unlike their Mother who has a medium length straight coat.

They are really, really good pups. They are not demanding, they are so loving to humans --- every day when they see me in the morning, they are thrilled. Not because I'm the person who has their food and water, but they are genuinely happy to see ME!

I've enclosed a picture of their Mom Ivy who is also a darling, 1 year old Spaniel mix. She has never been a pet in her life, the pups were born in a barn but she just wiggles that butt of hers every time she sees me. The boys all have their Mom's sweet and quiet disposition.

PLEASE NOTE: Please read ALL our adoption policies BEFORE applying for a puppy or dog. Any puppy under 5 months old MUST have their spay/neuter PRE-PAID through the adoption donation. There are NO exceptions.

Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either Physical or Electric Fence. The fence must be installed before we will proceed with processing an adoption application. If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website.

We abide by the Humane Association's recommendation.
For ANY DOG adoption to have a relatively good chance of success, we believe a child should be 8 years old & up. We only adopt what we call our "BONA-FIDE Kid Lovers to families with children." Many dogs do not want to live with children. You should only adopt a dog who LOVES kids to be sure you are able to make a lifetime commitment to a dog.

We do not adopt our puppies under 4 months to people who work full-time. Part-time or work from home is OK. We do not believe in leaving infants in crates all day.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily. This can be through a family member, neighbor, or Petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.

All L&F dogs/pups have been:
