ADOPTED! My sweet little girl met her new family today. She is going to have a Mommy, Daddy & three 2-legged siblings. She was nervous at first meeting that many people all at one time in my living room but then she relaxed & sweetly went from new person to each new person & introduced her sweet self to everyone. In a short time, she was curled up cuddling next to her new siblings on my sofa. She'll be going home to start her new life in Maryland next week & will be my #532nd adoption.

Sophia is a lovely young lady. She’s only about 1 ½ years old & petite at 34 lbs. I feel so blessed to have found Sofia sitting dumped in a shelter in KY. She is going to make a fabulous family member for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her.
I do not say this about all of my rescued dogs -- only if it's true. Have you ever heard someone say "__________ was the best dog I ever had!" or maybe you have been lucky enough to say it yourself -- well I believe that whoever adopts Sophia will say the same. She's such a good girl!
She has the sweetest most gentle disposition & she is so affectionate. I also think she very pretty but she does have a long coat -- so brushing will be part of being her parent. When I’m walking around the house or outside sometimes she walks behind me & gently puts her nose in my hand to get attention--- it’s so cute.
We have a volunteer dog-trainer who comes weekly & she is excelling with her basic commands & her leash manners. She positively loves people & being with other dogs & spends her day playing with all her foster siblings -- I love watching the joy that she has now knowing she is loved & safe in a loving home.
She had just given birth but the family did not bring the pups -- just her. Some people have such a level of ignorance I’ve even heard them become very angry & say “SHE got pregnant again!!” You know like it was her fault that she got pregnant - rather than take the responsibility that THEY didn’t spay her.
Sophia does have Lyme disease which is very common in the area she came from. When the dogs come in with any tick-borne illness I treat them aggressively with a 6-week course of antibiotics. She is not sick from Lyme, she has no symptoms -- she just tested positive which is why I check all my rescued dogs for tick-borne and Heartworm diseases.

We do accept all credit cards & PayPal for the adoption fee~ All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in a foster home. ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crate-trained and have had basic training ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication & Flea/Tick year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ de-wormed.
We do accept PayPal or debit/credit cards to pay our adoption fee which also includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase -- but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
