ADOPTED!! So happy to report that our darling little Maureen is going home. She'll have a Mommy & Daddy & an adorable little 4-legged brother Blue. Her new parents will be able to make up to her for not being loved at the beginning of her young life,

Maureen is about 1 year & very small at only 25 lbs. She has the appearance of a Redbone Coon Hound but they are large dogs so I’m guessing her other breed is Beagle given her size. Maureen is calm, extremely sweet & very affectionate. She just loves to curl up on your lap so you can rub her belly. As you can see she’s fire engine red & while she came very dirty since she must have lived outside -- once we had her groomed she has a lovely sheen to her coat. Her ears are so long that they hit her food bowl.
She did come from KY with a tick-borne disease called Ehrlichiosis. I'm treating her aggressively with a full 6-week course of antibiotics. She is not sick, she just tested positive. Should she be adopted before she is thru her medication I will send her with the balance
She LOVES to play with all her foster siblings & she gets along with everyone, She can & does amuse herself with her very favorite toy a Nylabones. Her other favorite thing is to snooze on the sofa.
She was dumped at one of the shelters I work with TriCounty in KY. When I say dumped – that is exactly what I mean. Her former owner walked into the shelter just handed her over – didn’t bother to tell them her name or how she lost leg. Sadly for the animals in KY, this is not usual behavior.

All LnF pups/dogs have been temperament tested & live in foster homes ~ All pups and dogs have been housebroken (puppies are paper trained) & crated trained ~ All pups/dogs have been Microchipped ~ Tested for Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme ~ Each dog is on Heartworm Medication year-round while in our care ~ Up to date with Rabies ~ Distemper, Parvo & Leptospirosis vaccines ~ Wormed.
Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase, but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
Adoption Requirements: *A minimum physical 4-foot high fence or is higher is always mandatory and must be installed. Some dogs may need a 6-foot wood or vinyl fence & if so it's noted on their profile. We will not consider any applications that does not have an installed fence. We do NOT accept any type of electric fence, no exceptions.
