ADOPTED! My sweet little talker is going home with her new Mom who had previously adopted way back in 2007. Bittersweet in that Nanette had to go to the Rainbow Bridge due to old age but so happy her Mom is ready to love again & even happier that she came back to me at LnF Dog Rescue

UPDATE: Betsy had a weekend sleepover with our dog trainer Christy Pennington. She gave me the following report:
"Definitely sweet, definitely tolerant. She was chewing on a bone yesterday and one dog was trying to lick it while another was standing over her. No aggression whatsoever! Also, has interacted very nicely with the cats."
So, we have a very special little girl here. She is not only a "Bona-Fide Kid Lover" but she also likes cats! Really, what more can you ask of a dog? What an adorable little baby girl Bette is! She came from a shelter in KY where she was picked up wandering alone in KY. She’s just a year old now & about 30 lbs full grown. I have her listed as a Collie/Aussie given the one blue eye & she definitely has Collie colors only they are in patches. She just bubbles over with personality & from day one she proved to be a “talker” she is always making the cutest wooing noises that sound like yodeling – sort of like Chewbacca but only ladylike. She talks to me a lot & seems to have an opinion on various topics. When she talks to me – which is often, I tell her “I know, that’s what I thinking” & we go from there.
She loves people & loves to give kisses & she LOVES playing with all her foster siblings but given her youth & very puppyish ways – if she were to be adopted into a home with another dog, that dog would need to be young & looking for a buddy to rough house with. Bets would love to have a young dog to play with every day!
She has started her basic training & leash manners & is doing very well. Given her breed mixture, she is very smart & would need parents who are equally as smart & who are experienced with puppies & their ways.
