ADOPTED!! So very happy to report that Bethany has met & been picked to have her very own family. She is my #531st adoption.
The family came to meet another of my rescued dogs but there was no MAGIC with their dog so I introduced them to Beth in & TA-DA -- they started playing instantly! Thankfully since I have so many dogs in one location (my home) if it's isn't a 100% Love Fest  -- not to worry have several others you can meet!
Bethany has her very own Mommy & Daddy & a very young brother (also adopted) to rough-house with every day. They had an instant connection which was beautiful to see.

**Be sure to watch Bethany's video below you can see she has no problem being tripod**
Bethany's Meet Your Match designation is
Constant Companion:   Looking for an emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low maintenance relationship? I am all you need. Let me sit at your feet, walk by your side, and I’ll be your devoted companion forever.
Bethany is a young, about 2-year old petite German Shepard mix. Her coat is so soft that it feels like cotton balls!  She came into the rescue emaciated, has gained weight & needs to gain a few more pounds but I don’t think she’ll end up weighing more than  40 lbs when she gets to her proper weight.
Now I don’t say this lightly -- but whoever adopts this very special young dog will be very lucky indeed. She super sweet, just wants to give kisses to anyone who gets close enough & she is a chronic tail-thumpers. When she hears me get up in the morning that tail starts thumping & she does that with every person she meets.
LNF Dog Rescue is noted for having sweet, gentle dogs who all have a sound disposition. Bethany proved to be a true LNF dog because throughout this whole ordeal she never tried to hurt anyone with all the pain she was in – that proves what a sound disposition she has.
Bethany is my 548th personal rescue in 14 years & I can say that I have never seen anything like what happened to her. That goes for my veteran rescue friends & several Vet’s. We’ll never know how she sustained such a horrific injury but the Vets are guessing that her paw (shown below – VERY GRAPHIC ) must have been like that for at least a month, maybe two months. Somehow she walked around with her paw dangling from her leg. You can also see the bone which the Vet’s also felt that she had adjusted to walking on that bone! It’s unimaginable that agony she must have been in & out there homeless existing on her own with no one to help her.
Thankfully one day a woman saw her laying on the ground, which now we’re sure she had finally laid down to die  & she called animal control. The officer went over & picked her up – she couldn’t walk so he had to carry her. When they got to the shelter a fellow rescuer in KY was there & saw her come in looking like that. She instantly agreed to take responsibility for her & took her immediately to the Vet.  Jenny had to carry her also & she said that all she did was wag her tail & give kisses – lots & lots of kisses. She knew she had been saved & wanted to show her gratitude. IMO with the 500+dogs,  I’ve fostered in my home --  I know without a doubt that dogs know when they have been rescued & spend the rest of their lives thanking you.
When Jenny got her to the Vet they cut off her paw right away, they said it was just hanging on by a few threads, & knew they would have to amputate her leg. I agreed to be responsible for her Vet bill & I did run a fundraiser on FB & thankfully was able to cover her all expenses of the surgery & aftercare.
She has been given a clean bill of health from my Vet & she now ready to find her own family. She’s amazing & gets around really well, dogs adjust easily when they become tripods.
If she sounds like the kind of girl you would love to bring into your life – be sure to read our adoption requirements which are on the left side of our website & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply online, also on the left side.
