About Sasha - Adopted! | |
|
We have wonderful news--our sweet Sasha has been adopted! This loving girl is going to have a nice, big family to share her life with--a mom, a dad, 3 sisters, a brother, 3 cats and a guinea pig! Sasha is going to be the happiest girl in the whole world--she has so much love to give and she will now have plenty of people to shower with her affection. Her new "sister", Tina, has already arranged her bedroom to accomodate the new family member--Sasha will have her own twin bed pushed right up to Tina's, for easy snuggling! We could not be more happy with this match. Sasha is a very special dog who deserves a very special home, and she definitely found it!
If you have a "thing" for natural blondes and very affectionate young ladies, the kind of girl that will look into your eyes with pure LOVE ... then we have the girl for you! Please understand that this is one gorgeous dog--she really IS so lovely. Oh my goodness, and those eyes! Would you just look at those eyes? What a beauty this baby girl is!! She has a smooth coat which means it is much shorter then that of a rough coated collie (like Lassie), but is very soft. At approximately 1 year old, Sasha is a good size girl, weighing about 60 pounds. Just wait until you see her in person--you will be as enthralled as we are, I promise you.
Even more important than her beauty, though, I love her because she is so sweet and docile. And, if you don't want to get kissed and licked then don't come within 5 feet of Sasha--she is always ready for some smooching! She is just too adorable. She always looks a little worried though... She saw a man jogging and she really looked at him and kept doing so long after we rode by. It's as if she is still looking for her former owner. I do feel sometimes that some of these poor "shelter kids" are still mourning the loss of their original family.
I promised her ... as I do all of them, that everything is going to be OK. That we'll find her a new perfect family who will never let her get away like her former owners did.
I think that, since she does not seem to have been abused or actually neglected, her original owners LOST her because they did not get her spayed. She has already had a litter of pups--and we sadly have to wonder what became of them. We've had her spayed so she'll never need to run away again. She sits out in my backyard (6' foot privacy fence) and is extremely content to just sit or lay around.
She is affectionate and gets along with all of the other dogs and cats and best of all ... she loves kids. We test all of our dogs with my 5 year old son, and Sasha adored him instantly. She was as gentle as could be with him, and obviously preferred HIS company to MINE (I know, I could scarcely believe it myself). I truly believe that Sasha's life would be incomplete without at least one child in her life. She seems to require my son's companionship--and we just love to watch her heaping her adoration on him!
Sasha also met our dear friend, Mike, recently and, just like with children, she really seemed taken with him. She also loved being with our other dear friend Cindy ... but it seems to me that Sasha is missing a man in her life. She is happy to be with all of us, but she just seems drawn to men.
Sasha enjoys riding in the car, too. We went to Petsmart, the bank (where she was given cookies) and just around town. She is so good in the car, she just is a dream to be with. She looks out the window and is just happy to be along. She is so pretty that everyone ooh's and aahh's at her. She is very happy to accept compliments and will give kisses to anyone who comes near her.
Honestly, I can't imagine anyone needing anymore from a dog that Sasha can give. She is the total package! If you think that Sasha may be the one that you have been searching for, please send an e-mail to the address on your right (under her pictures) and we will send you an application.
They are also being taught basic commands and everyone has learned to SIT ... so far. Now they just all need their own families so they can have all the individual attention they deserve. If you are interested in any of "the girls" please request an adoption application and we'll send it to you immediately.
