About Sophie Went Home '05! | |

Sophie was adopted by us in September but the family found they could no longer keep because they had to move and could not take her.
She is some kind of terrier/Dachshund mix. She has a very long body but is petite, only 20 pounds! Sophie is SO sweet, SO loving, SO calm. This 1 year old baby girl has so much personality! She is 100% prepared to give you all the affection and cuddles you could ever need from a little lap dog. She has a very, very short coat so shedding will be minimal. She has this lovely black mask and a very shiny brindle coat. Very odd looking little girl but she just makes you smile with her loving spirit.
She is housebroken and is accustomed to being permitted on the sofa or anywhere else she could like to be. We would like to find her a similar family who would like to have Sophie as their little "blankie" since she just loves to relax by laying across your lap.
She does have one tiny flaw and that is she is a water hound. When she first came to us she was constantly sitting and splashing in the outside pool we had for the dogs. Now, that she is back I found her splashing around in the water bowl in the house!! We'll be working on that, but some dogs are born to splash in water --- it's just usually labs!
I found Sophie at the Georgetown, DE SPCA and she luckily for her she had been captured by animal control as a stray.
