I only had Petunia for 3 weeks. I know she loved me because she never wanted to leave my side. I couldn't help but to fall in love with her too. Even though she was a foster, I considered her mine. I knew that she would probably not be adopted because of her age, so she had a forever home with me. She still has a forever home in my heart.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know that Petunia passed away 10-24-05 in the morning. She started having trouble breathing Saturday night and Sunday. I was going to take her to the vet today, but this morning she she stood up and struggled to walk across the room. She was slipping and stumbling. I picked her up and I knew she was dying. She was gasping and foaming at the mouth. I tried CPR ( I am certified w/ humans but I figured I could try on her), but I knew she was going, so I let her go. I held her close and kissed her little soft head and told her many times how much I loved her. I made sure my face was the last thing she saw when she took her last breath.

Thanks for your support and kind thoughts,
Yolanda

This tiny, approximately 14 year old, woman was found running loose on the streets of Boothwyn, PA. Luckily she had two rescue angels who scooped her up, took her to the vet and tried to find her family. They called us and asked us to help them find her family. They needed us to take her into foster care since they could not take care of her because of their landlord.
We have notified the shelters and local newspapers in both DE & PA.

This poor little dog is so old she has no teeth and does not seem to see very well. She still wants to be held though and her foster Mom, Yolanda is seeing to that for her. I also found that she really likes spaghetti. We felt that at her age we should let her have whatever makes her happy!

We have not been able to locate her family so we would love to find her a NEW family. If interested, please fill out our online adoption application.

October 14- from foster mom:
Petunia is just happy to lay on someone's lap the rest of her life! SHe loves to be carried around and petted. She doesn't bug you though, when I am doing something she will quietly just curl up somewhere near me. She definitely gets attached to one person. She tolerates my husband, but prefers me. She is a little territorial when she is on someones lap and will growl. I would not recommend that she go to a home with children under 12. But when she gets to know you, she is the sweetest little companion.

We are working on her house training, she is learning though. She just needs some patience. The best thing about her is when I come home, she is at the door doing her little "circle dance" and wagging her tail, obviously happy that I am home.
