UPDATE from Luke's foster Mom:
Luke continues to be a wonderful young man very gentle and loving. His mission in life is to be as close to you as he can, he will just rest his face on yours, a real love bug. He does very well with children and cats just a very easy boy to have around. He is very excitable loves to jump and play, he is an expert at the game of fetch, he will bring the ball right back to you and allow you to take it from his mouth, loves toys.
UPDATE from the Luke's foster Mom: Luke is a really sweet dog!! Very well behaved a young boy. He enjoys playing with other dogs very much. He is quite calm for a lab pup (1 year) and has the most sweet and soulful eyes. Luke is mellow and is more interested in human interaction than dogs.
He like any lab he loves a good game of tug of war and will play for hours if you let them. Doing very well with the crate no drama there. He loves to lay with you if you lay down on the floor and will try and crawl right up on your chest like he is a puppy -- which he definitely is not. He just has great personalitie.
He is truly a wonderful young man. He is very well adjusted. I don't feel they have been through physical abuse, no fear peeing or cowering. So I have nothing but good things to say about my boys
Luke (has the white chest and neck) and Beau are brothers who found themselves sitting in the SPCA in Georgetown, DE. They are both sweet, gentle, adorable, wiggle butts and surprisingly mellow for such young pups! Kim from the shelter called to say they were the perfect L&F dogs in disposition. So, they are here with us now, we just had them neutered and they are starting out a new phase of their lives in foster care until we can find the perfect home for each of them. Luke does have Lyme Disease and has completed his treatment.
All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet, gentle dispositions, and are living in foster homes with families. They each have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipped
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus (as long as they are with us)
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Wormings
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Electric Fence IF there are children in the home.
If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website and they have promised to send us a donation to help our rescue work.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE
www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE
http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD
