Update: Hello everyone,
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I must report that our darling Twinkles does have cancer in the lymph nodes of her neck.

I'm extremely grateful that Dr. Cindy from the Concord Pike Vet Hospital
noticed this as she was about to spay her. We will not spay her now as
her time is perhaps 3-4 months. She was already high risk because she
has a heart murmur.

She will live her life out here with Jerry and I. He is already very fond
of her. She is so tiny that he has to lift her up on the sofa because she
is too short to get up herself. That's her sitting with my husband and her boyfriend Dodger. They are watching TV!

So please keep our Twinkles in your prayers. How lucky she is that she will spend what time she has left being cuddled & loved and how lucky we are to have this little loving creature in our lives. She will take her final breath with me --- as it should be.

UPDATE: Twinkle is such a sweet, tiny Angel. She looks up at me with those huge beautiful expressive eyes of hers with such love. We have only been together for 24 hours and we are in love with each other. She will make the best, most loving companion dog. You just want to pick her up and carry her around in your arms. If it were not for the horrible scars on her face or broken ribs - you would never know by her behavior that no one has been kind to her, or loved her, but this tiny little girl has such a big heart, she held out hope that someone would come along and allow her to give them all the love she has. I'm grateful Rosy from Wetzel put this little beagelette in our lives.

Poor little Twinkle has had a hard life. Rosy said she is very sweet, calm and very quiet. She has been bred over and over because she is so tiny (only 14 pounds) has lived outside all her life. She has scars on her face and her heart, yet she still wants to love humans. That always amazes me about dogs.

We decided to take her out of our favorite shelter in West Virginia, Wetzel, to help her finally find her very own family who will cherish her, let her live inside, preferably on a big poofy bed of her own. We want to help this tiny girl have the life she deserved but never had. We are having her spayed 01-30-06 and after a few weeks of being in foster care, she will be ready to find her very own "furever" home. Could that be you?
