We are so happy to announce our pretty girl Francesca has finally found her perfect home! She was rescued over two years ago & it's taken a this long to find her a home that she would be happy in. She is our 413th adoption since we were founded 2-24-04.
She has wonderful dedicated Mom & 4 and even 3 legged sisters and her own kitties. Francesca has three positions -- sofa, chair & bed -- she loves to go outside and play with her girlfriends but she is happiest just laying around. She is a very loving girl and would love to have her very own family to call her own. She is very sweet and easy going.
Meet our girl Francesca. Thanks to her sponsor and volunteer for LNF Dog Rescue Kim, she is alive. She was rescued 1st from the end of a chain with no shelter - then she ended up being picked up by animal control for howling, well yes, she was cold!
Kim saw her story on Craig's List that said she was free to a good home which everyone in rescue hates to see! There are people who are PAID to collect these "FREE" animals by pretending to adopt when actually they will turn them over to dog fighters for bait. Kim called to see what the story was and found animal control had just picked her up. Kim contacted me & I said we could take her.
She came with a horrible growth on her hind quarter that was the size of a gumball and very ugly. We had it removed & thankfully it was benign so she has no medical issues.
She must have a 6 FOOT fence since she has jumped the 4 foot fence already.
Francesca was a pet in her life, someone took the time to teach her manners - when you get the leash, she sits politely and waits for you to put it on. LOVE THAT! She was very shy and nervous for the first few weeks but now I'm getting to see more of the real her.
She is mild mannered, very calm, but now I see her wanting to play with the other dogs and me. She is starting to dance around with JOY which brings true JOY to my heart. She LOVES the sofa and my husband's chair. You can see her in the video below in the chair she sits in all day.
If you want a companion dog who loves to go for walks but then just wants to cuddle on the sofa with or without you -- she is your girl. I think she is just a wonderful dog and from the moment she arrived she has had full house priviledges. She is housebroken and just waiting for someone to see how pretty she is.
Any dog/pup adopted from us MUST have a fenced in property either Physical or Petstop upgrade to current fence. We do not accept any other brand due to their high failure rate. The fence must be installed or signed contract prior to us completing an adoption application. If you need an electric fence upgrade to your current fence contact the company Petstop @ www.petstop.com
We expect our puppies to be adopted into families that can personally raise them -- which means we will only adopt to people who have adult previous personal puppy raising experience & either work from home or part-time. We believe that puppies - like children need to be raised -- rather then left in a crate all day. If you do not meet these standards - please do not apply as you will be denied.
We abide by the Humane Association's recommendation. For ANY DOG adoption to have a relatively good chance of success, we believe a child should be 8 years old & up. We only adopt what we call our "BONA-FIDE Kid Lovers" to families with children. Many dogs do not enjoy children. You should only adopt a dog who LOVES kids to be sure you are able to make a lifetime commitment to a dog.
We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily. This can be through a family member, neighbor, or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend: http://www.petsit.com/
