About Dobby Ki Adopted! | |

|
Update: Well it only took 6 months and 10 applications to find the perfect home for our darling little boy. We are so happy that he is finally "Home 4 The Holidays" and our 326th adoption. This is what his new Mom has to say about him:
"Dobby is one of my absolute favorite characters from the Harry Potter book series (I love the Harry Potter series). I chose Dobby because the character always makes me laugh and smile and so does he! We went to the vet today and Dobby behaved so well! He got a treat and a nice long walk after (right now hes a little tired and sleeping on my bed!) He got a clean bill of health and the vet and a couple of nurses who work there all thought he was the cutest little guy there! he made me so proud with how well he behaved. And we got another free dose of interceptor because we got him from a rescue agency. We use Lums Pond Animal Hospital and everyone there is so nice. We got him a sweater because of how windy it was getting and I think he just looks so cute in it! I attached a picture. And hes so smart hes getting really good with 'sit', 'come', and 'stay' "
UPDATE: We feel Nigel would do best in a home as an "only child" due to the fact that he is constantly "play nipping" on all the dogs. He is only playing but he is relentless and after watching him closely, I feel he would torture another dog or cat --- Not intentionally but he is only two and he still has a lot of puppy stuff in him.
Nigie is a very little (only 12 pounds!) happy wiggle butt. He is very sweet & affectionate and just loves everyone!
When you talk baby talk to him his little nubby tail just goes in circles!
He LOVES the other dogs and loves to run around & chase them --- great fun for him, not so much for them!
He adores people and LOVES to cuddle up on your lap. He is great little lap boy. He is so cute that I roll him over and blow bubbles in his belly. His face and expressions are just too cute!
UPDATE: Little Nigel arrived and he looks like a black & silver min-poodle
who is barely 12 pounds. His coat is very curly and he is just adorable and happy and full of personality. What a cute kid!
This is Nigel our new "shelter kid" Nigel was transported from South Carolina DE.
He was found in horrible condition. This is what the shelter had to say about him:
"After the groomer shaved off the solid carpet of mats that some people like to call fur, he has only done 2 things- wag his nubbin' tail and give kisses. He jumped out of my lap at the vet's office the other day and loved all over a toddler- he LOVES kids!!"

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily. This can be through a family member, neighbor, or Petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several Petsitting service companies that we can recommend:

We abide by the Humane Association's recommendation. For ANY DOG adoption to have a relatively good chance of success, we believe a child should be 8 years old & up. We only adopt what we call our "BONA-FIDE Kid Lovers to families with children." Many dogs do not want to live with children. You should only adopt a dog who LOVES kids to be sure you are able to make a lifetime commitment to a dog.
Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either Physical or Electric Fence. The fence must be installed before we will proceed with processing an adoption application. If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website.
