About Chloe-ADOPTED!! | |

5-27-06 - After 17 applications, we found the perfect home for our little Chloe' and she went home yesterday. She is now going to be a New Yorker and have a Cocker Spaniel brother who was also rescued. We were told by the foster family that it was exactly as we want it to be --- a fabulous love-fest all the way around!
5-12-06 Chloe is a sweetheart but because she is sensitive, we are recommending that she go to a home with no children under 12 and with people who have the time, patience and experience to help her adjust to a new home. She deserves to have a calm home where she feels safe and loved.
Chloe is our active 1 year old Pedigreed Cocker pup with such a zest for life and whatever it may bring. Her former owner had since she was 8 weeks of age. Unfortunately, she had to be given up when they moved to Texas.
She loves to play with her two foster sisters, loves to hang on the couch with you and will follow you every where that you go.
UPDATE Chloe came to her first Mingle today and she was the star. We have many beautiful mutts here but she is so much prettier then these pictures show. She is a lovely cream color with delightful freckles.
We hope to find her a home where she will be someone's "Little Princess" because she deserves no less!
Her former owner did not take the time to socialize her or teach her any manners. She wasn't even housebroken but she is now thanks to all the love and devotion of her foster family. Chloe has made such fantastic progress from where she was two months ago. She still has some issues with liking to get into stuff, but she still has a lot of puppy in her since she is only about 1 year old!
Chloe would love to be an "only child" or live with a brother or perhaps a submissive female. We are happy to help her find her forever home!
All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet, gentle dispositions, and are living in foster homes with families. They each have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipped
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus (as long as they are with us)
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Wormings
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Electric Fence IF there are children in the home.
If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website and they have promised to send us a donation to help our rescue work.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
