Tracey is just a calm, almost serene little girl. Her very favorite place is tucked into the corner of the sofa. She is gentle, affectionate and is just starting to wag her tail and look happy. She was stunned when she first arrived, they almost always are. It is a LONG WAY from WV to DE. She has settled in and just wants to be part of the pack here but she really thinks that my husband is very nice and she likes him and she seems pleased to be in my company also. This is a very simple, easy going girl and she will make a wonderful companion lap pet.
UPDATE: Tracey's story is --- her former owner dropped her off on the side of the road in West Virginia and drove off. This poor baby sat there in the same spot for (2) days and nights waiting for her master to return. We know this because the person who brought her into Wetzel County Pound told Rosy that they drove by one day and saw her sitting there, then the following day she was STILL there. Luckily for her, they felt sorry for her, we do too, so they stopped, opened the door to their car and she jumped right in. We know what you are thinking, how could anyone do that? Well, we will never be able to answer that question so we have given up trying to figure out why people treat animals with so little regard.
We just want to help Tracey get started on her new life as a cherished little girl for the rest of her life.
She is so small we do not want to place her with children under 12 years old. She is a darling little girl, we just had her spayed and she will be ready to begin again as soon as we find her new family.
Tracy is a one of a kind, VERY CUTE, Beagle-sized (18 pounds) a little bit shy at first but then very friendly. House trained and very well behaved. SOFT HAIR, just like feeling a cotton ball, CURLED tail. She loves to love and be loved.
This pretty girl is arriving from WV on our next transport along with Jeff on 03-25-06.
She is being spayed on 03-27-06 and up to date with all her shots.
All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet, gentle dispositions, and are living in foster homes with families. They each have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipped
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus (as long as they are with us)
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Wormings
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Electric Fence IF there are children in the home.
If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website and they have promised to send us a donation to help our rescue work.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
