About SPARKLE! - Adopted! | |

UPDATE: Well she is here and Sparkle really does Sparkle! We wouldn't think of changing her name. She found her way to the big chair as you can see. What a lovely soul she is! We will need more time with her to but we're sure she will be allowed to go home soon.
I wanted to show the happiness of these three West Virginia shelter kids running in that one picture. Sparkle & Hannah & Duke have all came from the same shelter.
UPDATE: Sparkle will be in transport from West Virginia as of New Year's Day. She will be arriving in DE with her friend and foster brother Duke.
Sparkle is currently residing at Wetzel shelter in West Virginia. This
is what they have to say about this stunning girl: Sparkle is a 2 year old, gentle and very friendly, medium sized (45 pounds) spayed female.
Her story is that she and her litter of pups were dumped along side of the road. Someone had left her pups in a cage on a hot August summer day. They didn't leave Sparkle (thankfully) in the cage so every time someone came along, in desperation she kept trying to lead people back to her babies by running back to the cage to show them her little ones.
After several calls to the shelter alerting them to the situation, finally someone was kind enough to bring her and her babies into the shelter. All the pups were adopted but poor Sparkle has been sitting in a kennel since August waiting for someone to adopt her. Sparkle is a sweet and patient dog who loves ALL people, dogs and even does well with the shelter cats.
One more tidbit about Sparkle, we named her Sparkle because no matter how emaciated and sickly she was when she arrived at the shelter her dark eyes still had that beautiful sparkle you see in the photos!
We will be taking applications
and hope by time they arrive in early January (hopefully) there will be families with approved applications
and ready to adopt our new girl.
Our Chelly (Michelle) came from the same shelter and her new Mommy saw her picture online, applied for her and when she arrived, came to visit and it was love at first site all the way around.
