5/23/06 Well, my little girl went to to her new home with her new little Bichon friend Max. They are nice people and April really liked the husand alot. I will miss her but she will have a good home with them. She seemed happy to go.
5/06/06 Everwhere we go people fall in love with April! She is so friendly to everyone, LOVES kids, loves dogs, and isn't scared of anything. She is one tough little dog and can hold her own playing with our dogs, even with our other foster Harley who is a 66 lb giant puppy.
April just arrived from the Georgetown, DE SPCA 05/01/06. This is one beatutiful dog! We were told that she was the sister of Mimi & Kiki ,the corgi mix sisters who were just adopted, but she looks more like a chocolate dachshund. April is very VERY outgoing and friendly, and she wags her entire body every time you talk to her. She is such a little doll! She was VERY good for her bath, and knows what a dog door is for. We took her to an outside ice cream place and she LOVES kids! She was obviously an indoor pet, but her collar was tight and her nails were overgrown, indicating that they tired of caring for her and there's no indication anyone took the time to train her, even to sit or walk on a leash. She kept her distance from the cats at first, but now has learned that they're fun to chase, so we're working on that too.
