Max-ADOPTED!! needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
About Max-ADOPTED!! | |
|
|
Max's foster family has found him a home with friends of theirs. Now they can still have Max in their life. We are so happy for this dear dog!! Finally he will have the life he deserves.
This sweet, gentle, calm dog needs a foster home ASAP Max is the perfect dog ... except for one thing, it seems he is not able to live in a home with male dogs.
We need to find him a home where there are only girls. He doesn't mind having sisters, he just doesn't want any brothers.
Here is his complete story, if you can foster him or would be interested in adopting him, please let us know.
We are going to have to put him in a kennel if we don't find someone to help him very soon. We really do not want to do that to him since he spent 60 days in the Georgetown SPCA.
UPDATE: Max's foster parents want him to have his own home soon so they have offered to pay his adoption fee. There will be NO costs at ALL to adopt Max. This is how special this boy is!! We all LOVE him and we know you will too!
UPDATE from Max's foster family:
Max is a wonderful, sweet & calm young boy! He's about 1 year old, medium size, black Lab mix with a big splotch of white on his chest and the tip of his foot. Max is definitely a "people dog" with a lots & lots of love to give. He likes very much to be near you. He also likes to play fetch and tug of war, and after a few minutes, he circles 3 times and lays down by your feet.
My two sons brought my grandsons over at different times, (One is 4 months old, the other is 8 months old), and Max was nothing but sniffs and kisses. This fellow deserves a good home ASAP. He has a lot of love to give and would make a terrific companion to any family who doesn't already have a male dog.
I had no problem handling him while he ate, or at any other time. Max is also house trained. He did his business in the right place ....outside. We have a fenced in back yard and he'd go do what he had to do and come right to the door to come back in. He does very well riding in the car, also. Do avoid stuffed dog toys as he is curious as to what's inside.
He is just learning some basic commands and he is very bright and should have no trouble learning them all. He's already learned to sit for his treat and now we're working on "come". I couldn't find anything wrong with him other than he doesn't get along with my male dog. What a shame because if he did, he'd have a home for life. He does, however, appear to get along with female dogs and also, cats.
UPDATE from Lost & Found Dog Rescue:
Max just left my home and he passed a few more tests. We tested him with my female dogs, he was fine and wagged his tail and wasn't concerned about them in the least. Then he met my cat Gracie. He didn't care about her either so I feel confident is saying that Max can live with sisters and cats. Just NO brothers please!
We will be accepting applications for Max and hope you will want to bring this young boy into your life. He had been sitting alone in the shelter for over (2) months ... which proves what a GOOD BOY he is. He is a beauty (as always his pictures do not do him justice!) and is a really, sweet, calm wonderful boy ...
He needs lots of hugs and kisses and I know labs ... he'll be fine again and I know he will say to us "Whew! Thanks for getting me out of there! Glad that's over!!"
He's already been neutered and micro-chipped, and is heartworm negative, on Heartgard, and Frontline Plus and appears to be very healthy. He is up to date with all his shots.
This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered
