UPDATE from Trista/Sophie's new Mommy:
Trista?s new name is Sophie (which she was clever enough to start responding to by Thurs night!) She has been angelic. She goes right to ?her room? when asked and even pops in by herself every now and then for a quick rest. She doesn?t make a peep when she?s in there even when there?s a lot of action around her. We bring the crate upstairs at night so she can be in our room (Brian vetoed my sleeping in the bed arrangement J) but she goes right into the crate and sleeps through the night!
She?s interested but cautious with the cats (only a couple of chasing incidents so far) and has been friendly with other dogs in the neighborhood. She?s good with people on the street (there was a big race in Media this weekend and she was around a lot of people) She growls and barks a bit when someone comes to the door but warms up to visitors in a few minutes.
She?s having a great time with all her toys and already has a mini-wardrobe of scarves and a sporty little leash. That collar you had on her is perfect so we?re going to keep using that.
The only small challenge we?ve had so far is that she is reluctant to go potty in the yard. She always seems to wait until we are out on a walk. I?m sure it?s something that will resolve itself soon ? no biggie.
Anyway, she is the perfect little lady and already we can?t imagine life without her. We don?t have our e-mail hooked up at home to send you downloaded pix but as soon as it?s ready I?ll shoot you some!
In the meantime, hope all is well with you!!! Thanks again for our angel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This tiny one has stolen my heart! She is just a sweet, loving, cudddlebug! Trista is sitting in a basket under my desk as I type this. If I get up to go unstairs, she follows me everywhere. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa watching TV and woke up to find her cuddled in my arms fast asleep.
We feel very lucky to have already found her new Mommy & Daddy and she is going home on Thursday to start her new life.
Mom & Dad came to visit with her at the Fuzzy Butts event and have even promised to take her there when her parents are working so she can have FUN!! I know she will be great joy to her parents. I enjoy spending time with her and know they will give her the love and devotion she so needs!
This cute little girl only 17 pounds and about 1 year old (and she is very cute!) is now here with our rescue. We did get her from our favorite rescue in WV Wetzel. She is calm and sweet and has a cute little white crest on her chest. She will be spayed on Thursday and up to date with all her shots.
Trista is extremely affectionate and is a real velcro pup. She follows me around every step I take and when I sit down she needs to be touching me at all times. What a nice little girl. I have cats bigger then her!
Her coat is long and silky and parts in the middle like a Yorkie, she is NOT a Yorkie, I'm just using that as an example of her wonderful coat. I think she has a very low shedding rate.
I would prefer that she ONLY go to a family that has terrier experience and since she seems to be able to run like the wind, a wood or invisible fence, unless she is adopted with a very active family to walk her daily.
Notes: This young terrier mix is much prettier in person, very easy-going, friendly, enjoyed her bath and leash walk. A little bigger than an Affenpinscher, soft coat, she weighs about 17 lbs
