Marleen,
Just wanted to let you know Molly is all settled in and is truly at home!! Within a few minutes of being here she was in Daddy's lap with a bone (not on Andy's side of coarse). She showered him with kisses and tons of tail wags in his face. She explored the house and has been following me everywhere. I love her so much!! Ashley, Brandon, and Andy have done so well with her. Her and Brandon were swapping bones and Brandon has to follow her everywhere to keep an eye on her. (A good big brother - he's showing her the ropes.) Andy is upstairs in bed with Daddy and I'm downstairs with Ashley, Brandon, and Molly. Molly is on the chair beside me asleep. She is tuckered out!! A very big day for her!! She did so well on the ride home. She sat up and looked out the window and sometimes curled up on her little pink polka dot blanket. I took her outside by herself after everyone else had their potty break (on the leash) and she went potty and pooped also!! I have taken A LOT of pictures and in most of them she is either looking away or has her eyes shut. We'll try again tomorrow.
Thank you so very much for saving her!! I loved her from the moment I saw her picture!! It's only been a month and a day since I found her on the website, but I feel like I've known her forever!!
She already helped me do laundry tonight and she stole one of Daddy's socks. She didn't chew it - she just put it up on the bed for him!!
I'll send you some pictures as soon as I get them loaded into the computer. We're going to start working on words and training tomorrow so we better get some rest. I feel like a child on Christmas Eve!! I can't believe how lucky and blessed we are to add her to our family. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!! You have made my Christmas extra special already!! I'll be in touch soon - thanks again, Jennifer
UPDATE: Cashmere also came in on our transport from VA. She is upstairs resting. She is much smaller then we thought, only about 17 pounds and so thin, all her ribs are showing. Poor baby was out there starving to death --
literally.
She had her dinner and is all tucked in for the night. She is being spayed, vetted, and up to date with all her shots 10-30-06.
She has the coloring of a Yellow Lab but she is some kind of Terrier Mix. Very, very pretty!
Luckily we were able to find another foster home. She will be their first foster baby. She will have a very small little foster sister and I am very happy that she is going to get the full undivided attention of a foster home. They all deserve that.
Cashmere is sitting in a high kill shelter and we are trying to locate more foster homes so we can get her and others out in time. If you think you could provide a temporary home, please read our foster info to the left.
If you would like to save just one life, please apply online to be a foster parent. All expenses are paid by the rescue.
