Kodi met his Dad at the Mingle on Saturday and tonight he met his Mom. T
His new parents think he is as wonderful as we knew he was. He will be residing in West Chester, PA and that is a long way for a stray from Georgetown, DE. He is a very lucky boy and we are so very happy that he will finally have all the love he has to give to someone who will love him until he takes his final breath, a long, long time from now!
Kodiac is a regal looking 2 1/2 year old neutered on the small size, only 42 pounds, Husky mix. We had him groomed (which he completely loved and cooperated like the gentlemen he is!) and she said she thought she saw a "hint" of border collie in him. He has a wonderful rough around his neck which is representative of that breed.
This is the happiest young boy I've seen in years. I found him at the Georgetown, DE SPCA and had been captured as a stray. Every time he saw me --- or ANYONE actually --- he just wagged his tail so hard as a greeting that his whole rear end just goes from side to side. He seems to be tap dancing with his front paws because he is so excited to give you kisses. He really seems to be smiling! The term "Wiggle Butt" was invented to describe our guy!
Kodia has a sweet, gentle, playful and extremely loving disposition.
I know he will give every ounce of his love to the humans of his new family.
He is so handsome that I know when you are walking him people will stop
you to admire him. You can be assured he will greet anyone he meets as if they are long lost friends, that is just how is nature is.
He is fabulous dog and everything that we at L&F Dog Rescue look for in our adoptable dogs.
He gets along with other dogs, will be tested with cats and kids and we will
report what his foster Mom Meghan has to say about that.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .
If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
