We're very happy that our Little Lulu has been adopted & has gone home to start her new life with her 2 Mom's & live in South Jersey. She is our 458th adoption since 2-24-2004
** Be sure to watch Lulu's videos below --you'll be able to see how she is all the time! She is a true tail-thumper/wiggle butt**
I honestly can't see how this much cuteness could fit in this tiny little body! Lulu is about 1 year old & only 16 lbs. adorable little girl. If it were a felony to be this sweet & cute, my Lulu would be serving hard time!
She was lost and running the streets of Kent County DE. She's alive thankfully because she was rescued by an animal control officer from FSAC-SPCA. Her family did not make any attempt to redeem so we were able to bring her into our rescue.
We think she had never been indoors before. I had to carry her in because she acted like she knew she wasn’t permitted to come in the house. My groomer said she had something very gooey on her front paws & thought it might have been tree sap which leads us to believe she did live outside her whole life. She is perfectly groomed now.
I’ve rescued many Beagles & Hounds over the years but I must say that Lulu is just the cutest little girl. I’m really enjoying being her foster mom. She is a totally delightful in every way. She is very affectionate & has the sweetest disposition & just full personality. She stands in front of you with her rear end wagging so hard that her hips look like they are swiveling. Lulu is a tail thumper -- when she hears or sees you coming that little tail is thunping as you can see in her video. She’s just full of love for people and other dogs.
** She did come to us quite sick with & we ran up an additonal Vet bill of $194.61 to treat her pneumonia on top of her standard adoption fee. We do need to ask her potential new parents if they would be willing to put any amount that they feel comfortable with putting toward her bill. We would ask anyone to make a payment directly to our Vet so you know the money is used exclusively for our dogs medical care.
Based on our experience Beagle’s should be adopted by “Beagle People” because they can be very verbal. When she first arrived from the shelter she was very upset & baying but a few weeks have gone by and she hasn’t bayed since now that she’s totally settled in -- but I can’t guarantee she won’t in the future.
She wasn’t housebroken, since she hadn’t ever lived in home but I had her housebroken a few days. She will actually come to get you when she has to go potty! She adores being on the sofa or chair & lately she has started to sit on the top of one of my chairs ---so for her sake I will only adopt her to someone who like allows dogs on the furniture.
If she sounds like the kind of little girl that you would like to bring into your life & home – you must read our adoption requirements and if you can meet or exceed them you can apply at our website.
