UPDATE: This lucky girl went home with her new parents last night to begin her life as their new cherished baby girl!
We were able to rescue this LOVELY
pedigreed darling Chocolate Bunny girl out of the SPCA on Thursday. She came in as a stray and is about 3 1/2 years old. She was just shivering with fear and I really had to work to get her to come to me but when she did --- well, gee, I'm getting choked up, she was SO relieved to have human contact again.
We took her outside to get some photos of her and she immediately became an outgoing girl and just loved the fresh air. We immediately knew we had to take her out of the shelter environment.
She is now in a foster home and doing great. She is a sweet, loving girl and will make a great companion. She is a wonderful, gentle soul.
She was definitely a pet but for some reason her family did not try hard enough to find her.
I got a note last night from her foster Mom that said she doesn't seem like a Sydney, (the shelter and we name them when they are strays) but she certainly answers to "Pretty Girl!" because she is.
She is living with kids and two other dogs and just blended in right away when she came here from the shelter and then into foster care. I believe she will be a treasure to anyone who adopts her.
We already had her to the vet, she came to us spayed. She is Heartworm/Lyme negative and now up to date with all her shots and de-wormed, on Heartgard and Frontline Plus.
If you would like to fill out an application, you must first register on the website and await an e-mailed passcode. Once you have this info, you will be able to access our application.

All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet & gentle dispositions, have lived in foster homes with families, and have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipping
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Worming
All adoptions include:
One month of free Shelter Care insurance
2 free weeks of pooper scooper service provided by DE Pooper Scoopers
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Invisible Fence IF there are children in the home.
We do not place puppies in homes where they will be left alone all day. Part-time is ok. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hours at a time. .
If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE
www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE
http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD
We also have a wonderful all day Doggy Day Care service:
Fuzzy Butts Doggy Day Care in Chadds Ford, PA

(I have visited this facility and it is wonderful and reasonable)
