Lost and Found Dog Rescue

OUR MISSION

Jake's picture
Jake was severely abused as a puppy.  Through the love,
dedication, and personal attention of
Lost and Found Rescue,  Jake has learned
to trust people again.

Through our love and commitment to dogs we pledge:

To educate animal owners about the issues in animal health and training, in particular tick-borne
illnesses such as Lyme disease;

To identify temperamentally sound dogs and rescue them from overcrowded public animal shelters;

To spay/neuter each dog as soon as it comes into our rescue. No pup/dog over 5 months
old will ever leave us without having already been spayed/neutered.
Puppies under
5 months spay/neuter must be PRE-PAID before leaving us.

To provide excellent medical attention including all necessary vaccines, testing for Heartworm,
Lyme and Ehrlichia, worming, starting them on heartworm and flea and tick preventative for as
long as they are with us, and microchipping;

To supply them with socialization as family members in our foster homes;  and

To find each of them a forever home where they will be loved and cherished for the rest of their lives.

Our mission is to learn as much about each of our puppies and dogs as possible.  By understanding each dog's needs, personality and disposition, we can find them their perfect forever home.  Our knowledge of each dog allows us to discuss the dog's individual needs with a potential adopter, such as does not like cats or loves children, or requires special attention.  We only adopt our "bona-fide kid lovers" to families with children.

Since our dogs are always fostered in homes, we are better able to understand our dogs.  We are able to pass this information to potential adopters so that the adopter can find the dog that best suits his or her lifestyle.  We try to provide as much information as possible on each dog's web page profile, as well as include regular updates on each dog's progress and adoption status.

After learning about our dogs through their individual profiles, we hope that you will take the time to come to one of our "Mingle with Our Mutts".  Otherwise, you must have an approved adoption application to meet a dog at any time other than a Mingle.

Meeting our dogs in person gives the potential adopter an opportunity to interact with our dogs as well as speak with the adoption coordinator and foster parent about a particular dog.  You may just find that although you had been interested in one dog's profile online, another may just win over your heart in person!
